Beneficial Life engaged a group of student e-business consultants to provide a strategic analysis of Beneficial Life's consumer site, comparing it with competing sites in the industry, and to evaluate its systems. Students organized focus groups to perform usability analyses on the company's intranet and extranet user interfaces. The students tested usability and effectiveness of both the intranet and extranet (consumer) web sites and offered suggestions for improving the design of its web interfaces.
