The LDS Agenda Management application was written by Thomas Wheatley, Daniel Johnson, and Devin Howe – all MISM students at Brigham Young University (BYU) – for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Rayman Meservy was their faculty advisor and is a professor of information systems at BYU. The project was undertaken and completed during the fall semester of 2004.
The web-based LDS Agenda Management application is used to manage meetings – making meeting agendas, including documentation, making assignments, and following up on those assignments. The application is designed and made to be used both in and out of meetings. It is written in the Java programming language and is based on the STRUTS framework. It was developed on the Apache webserver and interfaced with a mySQL database. Version 1.0 of the web application was delivered to the client on 12/17/04 and is being adapted to their internal infrastructure for use.
