Beneficial Life: Beneficial Financial Human Resource Data Retrieval Project

Company Background

Not only is Beneficial Life the largest and oldest life insurance company in the Intermountain West, it is in the nation's top 10 percent of life insurance companies in assets and insurance in force. It is a values-driven company that has high standards of performance. Beneficial Life has a strong reputation because of its integrity, security, excellence in performance, service and profitability.

Project Summary

The goal of this project was to make recommendations to improve and simplify the creation of reports that rely on data from disparate systems that Beneficial uses. Beneficial extracts data from Oracle HR, TrakStar, and Compease, which is time consuming and costly.

After researching the capabilities of Oracle HR and TrakStar to write reports, automate data transfer, and track data; recommendations were made for improving and simplifying ad hoc and planned reporting in the Human Resource Department.
