Stone Holdings seeks to provide a product that removes the complexity from setting up and managing a small network. The services they would like to provide in a single, integrated product are: 1. A suite of services that every network user should have 2. Full-strength corporate tools to the home user 3. A platform that can continue to supply additional value add-ons.
The Riveted team will:
1. Install and evaluate the home networking manager 2. Explore possible markets 3. Analyze Microsoft and Novell's attempts to market a small business network application 4. Research possibilities for incorporating existing databases into the current content filter.
1. Each team member will install and use the home networking manager and provide a written evaluation of the installation and use experience. 2. We will explore four specific markets: the home user, hot spots, virtual communities, and the extended corporate user 3. We will provide an analysis of Microsoft and Novell's failures to market a small business network application 4. We will research database possibilities for the existing content filter 5. A written report of our findings will be provided to Stone Holdings by April 30, 2003.
This project will benefit users looking for a an easy to use, easy to install, reliable network solution.
