The winners of the Omniture Web Analytics Competition were announced 09 November, 2007. The competition involved students using Omniture's industry-leading SiteCatalyst product to help a real online business, dogfunk.com, maximize their e-business success. Omniture provided training for the participating students on SiteCatalyst, so no previous experience was required to compete. Students in all fields of study were encouraged to participate..
Over twenty five teams participated in the competition by presenting an analysis and recommendation for business optimization to a panel of judges during a professional presentation. Look for the next web analytics competition in the 2008 fall semester.

The first-place prize of $5,000 was awarded to the team of John Christiansen, Chris Haleua, and Grant Tanner.

The $2,000 second place prize was awarded to the team of Angela Chau, Jonathon Chin, and Jay Liu.

The $1,000 third place prize was awarded to the team of Scott Gillins, Andy Mott, and Steve Smith.
